Contractor Quizzes ("we", "us") operates https://contractorquizzes.com and provides an online study guide for the California CSLB Law & Business examination. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address, an optional username, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a Google account identifier, we never receive your Google password.
Purchase information. If you buy access, payment is processed by Stripe; we store the transaction reference and your email to grant and support your access. We do not store card numbers.
Usage data. Basic, non-identifying request logs (e.g. pages viewed) to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

To create and secure your account, provide the study guide and your access, process purchases, respond to support requests, and maintain the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors that run the service on our behalf, Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), and Cloudflare (hosting), and only as needed to provide it, or where required by law.

Data retention & your choices

We keep account data while your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your login credentials from our systems.

Security

Passwords are stored only as salted PBKDF2 hashes, and traffic is served over HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
